" The Heart" v "The Head" - - interesting times !

It was two PM`s that are Scotch by birth that have made England what it is over the last 20 or so years.
Yes of course your correct you must be , if I'm not mistaken this is my opinion thats the same type of opinion that gives the people of this country the various parties to vote for. Give us your reasons and or opinion why not, what are you frightened of .
Again I believe this is still a free country, live where you wish and vote how you like .
As for the shanty towns I think it is time someone in Westminster had a look at England's culture or what is left of it.
Jinga ,you mention overseas travel mmmmm to where Germany at the moment big draw down cyprus again draw down . Afghanistan mmmm lot to offer has HM forces .
I remember the days Hong Kong, Oman, Kenya , Cyprus ,Germany, Canada, Gibraltar, Norway,USA,Falklands,Italy and a host of other countries .
A little to much surmising of what if and what will take place ,Scotland isn't something that has just been born it hasbeen here for a while now, the politicians that we vote in to carry out our requirements can only be guided by what the people ask for .
On many an occasion on this site we have seen lobby your MP for this and that correct way to do things as is got to their surgeries and talk to them ask the questions ,seems as thing drop in the count down, the people of other counties have far more interest in Scotland than those that actually live here ,why .

Brian, 250,000 acres. Is Alex taking some ground off you? Seems a big reduction, mate.
Wow, lot of activity on this thread and a whole year to go, I can understand some of the concerns voiced by Scottish members, but what I can't understand is the heated posts from the lads south of the border.
Why would it or should it be of any concern to anyone other than those living in Scotland what we decide.
At the end of the day it will be decided by those that have a vote, thats those who have decided to make their home in Scotland regardless of their country of birth.
The economics of independence is a factor for many but this is about more than the economics its about the kind of country you want to live in, independence may indeed come at a price but I am sure their are many prepared to pay that price for the right to determine their own affairs.
When those that have a vote cast it next year think long and hard before doing so, whatever the outcome we will have to live with it there will be no going back.

Cant really think of any party that has done better for Scotland than SNP
do you really think Ruth Davidson will do better
or Johann Lamont
Tavish Scott, Annabel Goldie
and then lets move down south! is there any MP down there that isnt feathering there own nest first then considering the nation
now? how can I cash in on my expenses lol
like it or not, SNP are looking after Scotland, name who you think can do better and say why
really, have you seen the size of wee Eck, not feathering a nest ( unless it is reinforced) but he is squirrelling away something. My point is most of them lack the real ability to govern, independence therefore is very high risk.
