one leg eaten by foxes, badgers or farm dog, how far had it traveled after being shot who knows, could have come from next door or several miles away, why are you assuming it's this bloke who has shooting on ground that you would like, could have been the farm hand tryin to cover his arse.

What I meant was whether it was recent? Don't come into direct contact with reds very often so stand to be corrected quick but still hard antler in May, black stained belly and what looks like summer coat I was wondering if this was recent?

Whatever/whenever it was though it's never nice or right to see waste. I'm sure most of us have done the "more quartering than I thought" shots where the rumen has been ruptured and when it's happened to me the carcass has come home with me for my own consumption!

I dont know fully the dates the shot had been it could have been last month . It was found in the middle of the field it was shot on apparently . I just think its a complete waste and there was no attempt to find it . If a farm hand was shocked by it then what would the public think and there is poachers been reported in the area or should i say carcasses found under presumption of poachers but it could easily have been this guy on a couple of ocassions . Not gonna lose sleep over it though think i may have a vixen on the loose .

So you posted a thread that you don't know where the beast was shot, when the beast was shot or the story behind how the beast was shot. all on ground that you have already said that you want the shooting on....hmmm
Personally I would of got my facts right before I came on here and started a thread about this, to say this sounds like sour grapes might be a under statement here.
You heard this story from someone who was on the pi** at the weekend, you haven't spoken with the guy yourself. The farm hand spoke with him and he denied it was him - Did it cross your mind that he could actually of been telling the truth...

just my thoughts as we are all entitled to them....
