Nah fella,you are only 3 points less and if the actual antlers are poor quality then you could be closer.It looks dense from the pics but unless your weighing it its very hard to tell.

There are now a lot of roe close to my home.
A local farmer friend invited me early this year to control the roe population on his farm as he had noticed a big increase in recent years.
Fifteen outings resulted in nine roe including this buck.
Ach! Forgot to take off the 90g in my calcs. Numpty. I've not used that swedish formula but seems to give an ok guide.
Got a bit geeky with this when having a look at a few cic certificates. Only thing i couldn't really guess was the volume while it was drying out so had a look to see if there was a common ratio between weight and volume. Found that if you take the weight of the full skull and multiply by 0.67 it gives u a value pretty close to the measured volume. In your case 580 x 0.67 = 388.6. Pretty close to your measured 390.
Would be interested to know if this works out on other folks measured heads. Without hijacking this thread of course!
