Affordable quality knife recommendations?

For years I've been using a knife I forged back in 2020 as my general purpose knife however it was stolen from my tent a few weeks ago. I no longer have access to a forge (and I'm 5 years out of practice at smiting) so cannot make myself another or really afford to pay for a new one to be made right now. I have a camping trip coming up in a few weeks and need a new general purpose knife that will do the trick for £50 or less. Anyone have some recommendations for good affordable brands or models. Its been years since I've shopped for one so I'm out of the loop. Preferably not a folder.

Thank you.

Gerber might be worth a look - have a good range of fixed blades.

Or as @Donnington says - Mora is always a good choice and will do the job fine.

I have used the Mora’s for a longtime. They just work.

But last year at the Stalking Show I picked up a little caping knife from @Bowland blades - it is a wonderful little knife - perfect for Roe, but good enough for bigger deer.

Casström are a solid knife for circa £100. I know that's twice what you said you wanted to pay but I've had mine through three years of abuse around the house and in the field and its brilliant. UK customer support is also top noch 👍🏼

Great knife , when it's knackered buy another 😀
