.17HMR sound

FX King .22 good for 58 ftlb & 950-1000fps, and allegedly good for 100-150 yd's.
Surprising how good Phht guns are nowadays.

With heavy slugs and longer barrel mine’ll do 80ftlbs and with Zan slugs is good for 200yds according to the data on the box.

My 12ftlb will reach 200yds but I've never killed anything at that distance.
I have with the hmr!

The above trajectory illustration on that box is misleading and frankly bull****.
It is probably closer to a center fires trajectory circa above 3000fps.

Read my post, I said “ Sound is the reason I went for an FAC air rifle, same sort of muzzle energy as a .22lr when using slugs but with more range than a .17hmr”
never said it’s more powerful.
The gun will achieve 80ftlbs, it’s designed to with a longer slug liner barrel, it’s an air rifle designed to shoot heavy long range slugs at 80ftlbs not pellets, having said that I have mine set to shoot 25.4gn slugs at 45ftlbs and the longest rabbit I’ve shot was 154yds using the ballistic app on the Zulus.

Irrespective of muzzle energy and coefficients the constant that is gravity is omni present which means combined with the constant time the longer a bullet or whatever is in the air the more it will be pulled to earth than a quicker one. But they all still get pulled and what is better usually isn't much better or worse than the other.
