. 22lr zero range

22 subs and a scope in std mounts should be zeroed at 50 yards to get the most out of tge trajectory curve with an exeptable peak trajectory over the line of sight . If you have a sight mounted sill high you might need to push out a bit further to flatten that peak

What is your zero range for your 22lr?

Mine is currently 100 yards, using eley hv but I'm thinking of changing it to 75 yards and sub sonic as the last time I zerod it I din't have the 17 so I had to push the wee 22 a bit further. Now as I have the 17hmr she can do the longer work.

Unless you are shooting all the time at 100-125 yards then as an "all around" a 75 yard zero (depending on the height your 'scope is above the bore) isn't a bad choice. It is what I used to use.

70m zero

I have my click adjustments from 25 to 150 written on electrician's tape on top of scope near eye piece

Doesn't work well in poor light though - so I also try and remember my hold over / under

Could rarely group well enough at 100yds in field conditions with my anschutz or cz with subs....
I zeroed at 50 yards for lamping purposes, which worked well. With suitably marked holds for distance shots...
.17hmr for daywork 👍

A 22lr on the gongs on the range is really good cheap fun. Especially when @Edinburgh Rifles rifles turns up with a 22lr M4 carbine type rifle - only allowed on the right hand lane as it sprays empties all over the place.

An American 180 would be even more fun. Not sure what range to zero it to or to pass it by the FEO

I think 20 yards would be perfect

I cant belive everyone goes this far with there .22lr's honestly with mine I zero it in at about 40yrds then just guess hold over from then on.

I find a 60 yard zero with subs about right. 100 yard zero will see the bullets quite high at lesser ranges. You can get very used to aiming off for longer shots.

Nice one!
Taken my .22lr to the ranges before, such fun hitting reactive targets out to 300 yards 😂, and no I don’t know the holdover, but an estimate is in the yards😂
A chap on the next target to me on the 300yrd firing point at Bisley was using Tenex(22), I think, and was dialing up 46 minutes of elevation, he said.
