A friend has put in for a 30-06 for deer in the Uk, he has a 243 with NV, 308 and a 270. He has been told that to justify such a large calibre like that he has to prove he has booked a trip to Africa.
Why should that be a limiting factor? That wasn't the rebuttal by officialdom. Why would he want one when his got the other 3 that will do the same
That's how.plod is properly looking at it he got 3 others so.why a 4th that will do the sameWhy should that be a limiting factor? That wasn't the rebuttal by officialdom.

My FEO said he didnt care how many I had as I could only use one at a time, as long as I could demonstrate good reason. That's how.plod is properly looking at it he got 3 others so.why a 4th that will do the same
Maybe plod think he has too many of the more powerful (but non-magnum) generic deer calibres. What exactly does a 3006 do that a .308 or .270 can’t?A friend has put in for a 30-06 for deer in the Uk, he has a 243 with NV, 308 and a 270. Tell the FEO to look at page 114 of the current Home Office Guidance on Firearms Law and he will see 30-06 listed along with a load of other cartrdiges as being suitable for use in the UKA friend has put in for a 30-06 for deer in the Uk, he has a 243 with NV, 308 and a 270. If you have a 308 and 270 what's the need for a 30 06 ??
