Get a 30/06 of your choice, install a Pachmayer Decelertor recoil pad and you will be fine. You can buy the pad for around $37.00. I put them on most of my rifles and they are the best, look good too. Look it up on the Google.

I have a xbolt .3006 its a dream to shoot, recoil hardly felt, but the trigger on the xbolt is hard,(crap)

Its a manufacturer thing, afraid of repercussions should an incident occurred due to a light trigger. I agree its hard, but you can do as I did, alter it. Its very easy. But then I chopped it in for my present 30-06, a Blaser, never looked back.

I own a blaser R8 in .30-06 had an R93 before both great rifles. But if I was not buying a blaser id go back to sako
