Well I though it get the 30-06 out and blow the dust off it for the start of the red deer.
This is 3 shots from a cold barrel using Sako 123gr Gamehead.

Well blow me .

Can't upload photo from my phone help

Thankfully the cushon is still in the one peace:)

The paper is at bit worse off though.

This was shot with my old Tikka 695.
Is had about 1500 rounds through it by me and quite a few by the preveus owner.

I had been thinking of getting I rebarrled but I'll give that a miss I think.

Have you tried it out and distance pal to see what accuracy it's doing iv had rifles myself that grouped like that at 100 but were **** out at 300 and were technically shot out

Not this time I did not have the time.
I've shot deer out to 350y with it so I know it's good for it.
This has been in the cabinet for about 6 months so I just took it out to see how it was shooting.
Normally I'm happy with a 1" group or there abouts.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with a 30-06. I have many that will shoot like that. One that I have in mind, was ignored for almost 12 years and when taken out to 'zero' pulled off the same trick as yours.~Muir

Just wondering why you would use a 270 load in a 30-06

I did have a .270 witch was a Browning X-bolt.
It was the one of the hardest rifles to find a load for that I've ever had so it went down the road sharpish.
As for the light load it likes them as you can see and it's pretty flat shooting to boot.

I’ve seen him shooting with that rifle. It’s accurate. He knows it is and is very confident with it. Sorted I would say.
