7x75

Years ago I read “Maneaters of Kumaon” followed later in my reading by W.DM. Bells books. I aspired to owning one some day but that caliber is as scarce as hens teeth in this part of the world.
A number of years ago I acquired a Proctor 7x57.
This was followed 4 years ago by a Rigby 275. I can’t fault the caliber. Lovely rifles to shoot.

Beautiful rifle and oryx!

I lately read on the internet of a No4 rifle being rebarrelled to 7x57R.
Has anyone any real experience of this interesting conversion?

You don’t need to use one. It’s so much quieter than a 243 & there isn’t that much recoil, at least with a 24” barrel.
