Not sure I like the look of that ring, but bit high up for case/head separation?

What plastic ammo box ?It's been suggested to me that Mark could easily be due to the plastic ammo box, which I should have thought of...
I get similar marks on brass that's rattled about in some types of ammo box. What plastic ammo box ?
I had been told this from UK Gunwerks distribution. The Gunwerks brass I have seen (oddly mainly in 7PRC) seems to have performed just fine. Have a batch of 6.5PRC ready to run just now.Verified source for that ?
The reviews I'd read on Gunwerks brass weren't favourable.

Have you run something inside to detect any edges, crack ?The Gunwerks brass comes in a poly bag and the ammo box is a foam lined affair . None of the others have a line , just this one and it's very obvious. I suspect if you found this , you wouldn't shoot it either.
Perhaps it's just one poor piece of brass?
You may be right. I wouldn't rule out the possibility that in the roll of brass for the cups, there might be a piece/cup where the copper and zinc didn't mix properly. The Gunwerks brass comes in a poly bag and the ammo box is a foam lined affair . Scrap, not worth the risk.Yep and I can't feel anything , you can feel it on the outside with a thumbnail.
That wouldn’t work either……I guess I'm not following. You said there was a shortage of 7PRC brass. Cannot 6.5PRC brass be necked up to 7PRC?
ETA: Ah, I see now. You'd need to neck down 300 PRC brass. My mistake.
