what have you used on smaller deer?Hi all ,looking for advice on gralloch and extraction in the field ,will be used mainly on fallow ,what is the best hanging kit and carry / removal by hand kit please
Shoot the smaller ones...the big stuff will be 70>85 kg dressed 11 to 13 stone...just get a mate on a bit of 1200 plastic and try giving him a tow... Take the head off as they catch every bit, it can go in the sled or bin it if you can. Thanks for the advice all ,tractors are not an option or quad so need to be by hand
Thank you ,I was thinking about a sled I presume they fold up for carriageShoot the smaller ones...the big stuff will be 70>85 kg dressed 11 to 13 stone...just get a mate on a bit of 1200 plastic and try giving him a tow... Is what easy enough? Getting deer into the back of the pickup? No, it's not easy anymore! I used to be able to lift heavy things, but now I've lost a lot of strength due to a medical condition and really struggle. However, a rope stretched between the forward tie-down points in the load bed, with a small block-and-tackle clipped onto it, combined with some kind of ramp, will do the trick. Strategic parking helps. Is that easy enough ?
