I can thoroughly recommend CT Safaris in Limpopo, about 3 hours away from Jo’burg. An excellent and very honest outfitter. We shot Cape buffalo, kudu, mountain reedbuck and warthog.

I can recommend Guy at Wild Horizon. Quite a few forum members have hunted with him and his team. Great guy as are the chaps working with him.

I'd definitely have a conversation with them at least. When you consider all of the costs involved in a hunt they offer fantastic value for money compared to a lot of the competition.

Although I'm new to shooting I'm attending a wedding in South Africa next year and have booked more time off and earlier flights so I can take advantage of the opportunity!
I'm flying to Johannesburg for a week to shoot!

What experiences have people had? Any recommendations for companies? game?
- I am budget conscious as this is already costing a ton of money!
Any help would be appreciated!

I’ve just come back from South Africa where I hunted with Neo Safaris. Mario (info@neosafaris.com) was really good and we hunted cull animals in the Western & Eastern Cape at two really nice reserves.
