It’s 313 bhp but quite “alive” when the loud pedal is pressed

I’m not really bothered about mpg to be honest

Puts a smile on my face when I drive it (when I can wrestle the keys from my wife ). 😂
What more can a car do? In these times having a bit of pleasure is to be highly valued 👍

Just bought an old 10 plate Kia Sportage with 100,000 miles on the clock. Very, very impressed with it. Not a great deal of money either.

My Freelander shows some nice mpg figures when driving, especially just after I reset the computer function and I’m cruising along a motorway.
In reality, if I get 30 mpg I think I’m doing good.
Ken.
Yes, cruising is good for MPG but I expect accelerating in a 2 ton vehicle with a V8 does drop the figure somewhat!

My 1.4 Suzuki Vitara doesn't get as high as that when cruising but it also doesn't drop too much when used around town either and most my journeys are short so a diesel wouldn't make sense.

Hi.
Are you giving your Audi plenty of long runs that keep emissions systems healthy? I do plenty of short journeys that worry me with diesels.
No not so many long runs now that I gave up the Scottish syndicate my regular journeys are only about 10miles each way

I was in Puebla Mexico 2016 for the Q5s production transfer from Ingolstadt Germany to a newly built factory there in the middle of nowhere due to most of the production going up to the states with far less for the rest of the world. The comments I was hearing often was that the quality will take them 10 years to get to the old German level.
Hi.
So the Q5 is built in Mexico?

Hi.
So the Q5 is built in Mexico?
Yes, VW wanted to build another factory nearby in Puebla but the Mexican government vetoed it to force these new jobs to go to a disadvantaged area. I had to travel about 70kms to all the meetings with Audi as my suppliers factory was near to the original VW plant where the new beetle was then being assembled. The workforce were being bussed in to the plant every day and they mainly had very little useful education as you can sadly imagine, the actual village nearby had only a 3,500 population. Never felt unsafe in Puebla though as it was far away from the cartel cr@p.

They do not advertise that fact in the Audi showrooms.
My Ex Boss bought a fancy Mercedes Coupe. Turned out it was made in South Africa.
