Let me make the following clear to any latecomers to this thread for the avoidance of doubt please:
1. I accept the thread title is less than ideal and could have been better worded.
2. I now better understand the challenges faced by the manufacturer due to Home Office or local Constabulary requirements.
3. I still do not understand why a spare part cannot be obtained if you have a newer mod with each component carrying a serial number. Surely you simply hand the defective part to the RFD who in turn sends such to Wildcat for a direct replacement with same serial number. The old part is destroyed.
3. I still wish to purchase a Wildcat Evolution in 6mm for my Sako PPC but some RFD’s seem to be making this more difficult than it need be IMHO.
