Arken v2 vs alpex lite

Used mine to 160 on my .222 with a Blade Dark engine. Worked fine. Compared to my old A50, image not vastly different.....smaller......but useable.

Swapping across sub12 air, FAC Air, LR, and .222.

Only thing I wonder is what the smaller sensor will be like on a cold, misty wet January night......as opposed to clear, warm still July nights......at least I'll have an excuse to pack up and go home rather than just because it's cold and wet 😊.

Happy with it as an alternative at the moment though.

The first video below, is promoting it as for air rifles......but then shows imges out past 100 and more.

Bear in mind, video isn't as good as what you see on the screen. And yes it's daytime.......but illustrates what you can do with a decent light source at night....footage starts around 6.45.

......and another advert for it showing its last light capabilities.......

Personally, I think its 'only for airguns' is a marketing line that Hik are pushing to make sure they aren't left with loads of the bigger versions on the shelves and need to heavily discount.....

The Original Alpex 4K is a better night vision scope... Daytime there's not much in it...

How far can you see and shoot at night with the lite? Hoping to find out from someone who has used it in the field
If you are night shooting, I limit my shots to 100/200 yrs or closer the better .
You can I definitely shoot further and identify your shot over 300

Used the alpex 4k lrf for over a year 200 to 30yds, zero complaints in any regard. Great bit of kit.
However if you are after a "lightweight" unit there is nothing in it weight wise between a full fat zulus which is as good as the alpex 4k or the Alpex lite.

Own
1x alpex 4k
2x zulus lrf

Eye relief is pants on both compared to glass.

I bought a Zulus v2 to replace my Pulsar C50 and IRlightbuilds torch, that was on a quick release mount. Shaved over a kilo off my weight and a lot less unwieldy
