Arkens Zulus 3X or 5X

I use the lrf all the time.
I recently made a near 300 yards shot with the 222. It beats guessing anyday.
Ive use it all the time.
I find it a boon.

I'm seriously tempted.... But reckon I'll just go back to rear add on & keep £400 in the bank!! 🤣
It is so much easier than having a rear add on, I tried the latest Pard rear add on when it came out and it felt like a compromise in comparison

Agreed mate. I've had digital day/night & add on and agreed I prefer feel of the dedicated NV, a lot more.

But, if it saves me £400 then I'm happy to compromise!!

Agreed mate. Been chatting to her last couple of days & was about to go for one at £414 (last one in stock) but I've changed my mind. But yeah, she's Very helpful.
Grand - great that good customer service is out there.
As mentioned earlier I have the Pard 008P and love it. Though early days yet I have been impressed with the Zulus. It is quite different from the Pard - seems to have a smaller (wider?) screen, the focus is very fussy and to my old eyes the cross hairs are very fine but it makes up for these in the high quality of picture and excellent zoom; the on-board IR is also excellent - big improvement on the Pard’s; the RF is very accurate and adds another dimension to stalking (best ping is 1047 yards from my back door) though as a hold-over veteran I have still to plumb the unknown depths of the ballistic calculator.
“Better” than the Pard is a bit subjective yet as the day after it arrived (Thursday) pals came to stay so I have only had it on the .222 on two very short trial sighting sessions. The 008P will be kept and put on my .17hmr when the scope mount adaptors arrive.
So what changed your mind BB?

Simply finances mate. We've never had holiday abroad as family, might aim to rectify that this year. 5 passports to start with (£442) I sold my 008S in anticipation of getting a Zulus, so I'll put that cash towards passports now instead. Go back to pard 007 for a bit.

Look forward to hearing more from you using it mate. Word of warning - it does have a record button... ! 🤣🤣

Good man - family first everytime - even before shooting!
I am sure it has a record button - somewhere and likely in a completely different place from the Pard!!
Wot fun!

May have been highlighted before but a quick tip for a very useful purchase for the Zulus-
1.The focus ring adjuster is an excellent fit and really helps with what I have found to be very sensitive and for my fat fingers at least, quite awkward focus adjustment - also a bit more “delicate” than the Coaster I first fitted;
2. The card/socket removal tool is also excellent - saves permanently denting your finger tips;
3. The lens retaining ring removing tool is required to let you fit the focus ring adjuster - to my utter surprise the damn ring was just about to fall off - straight from the box!
Nice to get something that someone, somewhere, has clearly given a bit of thought to.
Needless to say I have no affiliation etc….. though I have offered them Lady FB’s hand in marriage……

I bought a similar focus ring handle and it's invaluable when you need to really fine tune focus.

I did find that putting it on in the orientation the maker recommended didn't work well for me though. At the focus required forcentrefire distances the handle was too far round for my left hand to reach comfortably so had to move it back a couple of notches.

FB, the record button is the forward most button. Short press for recoil operated, doesn't work on my triple and long press to start recording, you'll see the timer start top left of screen.
A kind gent talked me through the ballistic calculator. He may offer his help to you and it is certainly worth it.

Yep thanks Smelly but on the Pard it wasn’t and I still couldn’t find it!
So how do you know you have set it for recoil recording apart from firing a shot or in my case half a trayfull?
