I now know a considerable number of consultants and their receptionists by their first names.
I’m halfway through my second shot at radiation treatment.
My medicine cabinet looks like a well stocked pharmacy with lots of stuff only available on prescription and oodles of cross the counter stuff.
On the other hand, I can still stalk, fish and run a dog. I have some nice whiskey in the press, my kids still talk to me and my grandkids are a delight.
Life was never perfect, but it’s a lot better than the alternative so far.
