BDS auction, decent head

I did the auction for second year this year in the Roe rut and took a chap out for a couple days. As always a nice experience for me although I do feel the pressure a bit given what he paid - I don't know how you professional guys do it i always feel a bit pressure to deliver and a bit guilty when a stalk doesn't work (Pine M take note!)v memorable stalks
Anyway, older guy this year (75), done a lot of stalking but not recently. Got him a younger buck first evening and a v good stalk. saw a fair bit and he got a youngster in the end and missed a 6 pointer when i left him in high seat with the buttalo when I went to get the carcass and truck towards end evening
Morning stalk, mooched around on foot for about an hour then into high seat I knew there was a fair buck kicking around We settled, asked if all ok then squeaked This boy charged in exactly form where expecting. And knew straight away a medal. eventually shot
However when asked if wanted head said no
I reckon he is at least bronze and probably silver. Each to his own but decided anyway I would clean him up, if only for the interesting 7th point and v black from fraying on beans

what struck me was he looks good post shot but boiled out I m sure silver and maybe gold I compared him with those I have shot and in between Really like the conformation especially as tried to get him last year and failed
Re not wanting head. i get that i have too many now inc Africa and will only keep special (v memorable stalks or a world record!)

Thoughts on

attitude
head itself
pressure on semi prof guides (I ask as retire from city job 9 months and half thinking about it)

drop to hard drive on mac try to up load won't work get error message
You need to upload pics to a picture hosting site (Flickr, Tinypic etc) then you can insert te image URL into a post. Do this by copying either the image URL and then selecting the little picture frame icon top right, third from right on icon bar above posting blurb. Or, it may have an option that you select which has a "forum cheat code", basically already with the bracketed 'img' text inserted fore and aft of the image URL. Face Book is another option for pictures and sharing where you can copy the image URL.

Have you weighed the head yet? I know it's early days yet, but it's weight now will give you some idea of what medal it would give.

There is no cause for feeling the slightest bit guilty regarding success or not for me, Sh1kar, I'm grateful for the opportunity to have a fair attempt, and don't underestimate how generous you (and others) have been with their time and effort! But I have no expectation of success every time I go out. Nature doesn't owe me anything after all... I hope you and your guest enjoyed his stalk, that is really quite a special head!

Stunning head and very close to gold if its not.

Great when you get a later beast where its had time to get coloured and that one sure has.

Regarding not wanting the beast, without knowing his experience its a bit hard to understand.I sell the majority of my medals but its just through lack of room and thats one exceptional head to knock back imo.
