So we are off to Cyprus at the end of the month as a good SD pal has decided, despite my repeated warnings, to do the decent thing and get married. That poor boy….
Anyhoo, the sainted Lady FB surprised me this morning (steady lads - not that) by giving me a “crossbody bag” which “will hold all my holiday essentials dahling” and even has a credit/bank card pocket (RFID Safe - wot?) which prevents the contents being read. As you would imagine I was delighted, like really, really delighted to receive this and just cannot wait for the opportunity to wear it with my mankini…..
Then having cleverly noticed that it is green my mind started to wonder…. You see my 40 years old quilted long-sleeved Barbour waistcoat now looks like something that even Wurzel Gummige would refuse to put on and has more repair threads than original material. My excuse that I only wear it out foxing i.e. in the dark, like the waistcoat is, err, wearing a bit thin and the Exocet “what would people think if you were knocked down?” is a bit of a showstopper. Sooo - how about this essential beach accessory doubling as a replacement for the old Barbour? I think that idea has legs but how do I break it too Brunhilde?
Anyhoo, that small matter aside and in the spirit of friendship so often abroad (except when commenting on my recent unfortunate reloading post) on the SD, I offer this to you all - it seems very well made and Brunhilde tells me the current offer is £30 and you get a second free!
