I am considering a BRX1 in 6.5 Creedmoor. Every review I have seen has been good, but does anyone own one and have a more informed opinion?

Yep got one in 30.06 for a Driven Boar trip coming up.

Got to be honest not done too much with it but more than happy so far.
Trigger works in same way as Berettas semi auto shot guns but is crisp and predictable on the lowest setting.

Cycling is flawless so far.

Bolt cycle is smooth but did add stock extension to stop bolt from touching my nose on draw back.

Was worried about Accuracy when Hornady 150 Grain V max were throwing a 2 to 3 inch group at 150 yards.
Swapped to some Remington Core Lokt that the local RFD has as old stock: Half inch groups!!

So may need to try a few brands.

Quite a heavy rifle really when compared to an average bolt action.

I've got it in 308 shoots hornady 150 match very well. I would like an aftermarket stock as its virtually the same as the plastic tikka howas etc.

The bolt throw was what put me off buying one.

Liked the whole concept, but the travel on the bolt meant it was nearly touching my nose...so guess you best check if the bolt throw works for you.

It‘s a Beretta. Beside Blaser they are dominating the European market. You won‘t find any negative reviews of any gun writer (now they are called influencers) who isn‘t planning to go into pension next month.

Great rifle - just check that the very quiet early recall (minor adjustment) has been done to it and you cannot put the cocking handle on wrong - i.e. facing forwards which leaves the firing pin protruding thus incurring a mildly irritating slam-fire!

I have not fired one but looked at the rifle whilst visiting GMK. Certainly not a Blaser but the whole rifle is cheaper than rebarreling a 300win mag R93

I’ve got a 30-06 and it’s on its second season now being used most days in the week , absolutely fantastic rifle, had it out in all weathers, rough terrain etc and it’s flawless. Cloverleaf at 100. Just about to order one in 6.5 creedmoor myself.

Really enjoying my .308.

Bolt doesn't touch my nose on cycling, comes close, but i have faith in their engineering that it stops in the same place each time.

Had a couple of occasions where the action stuck - but this was after dumping decent volumes in a short space of time at a target. Hasn't done it since, so presume it was just settling down and part of my breaking in process.

Great option if you're a lefty and don't want to spend a fortune on a straight pull.Mates got one reckons it's a great work horse . Might be worth getting it cerakote job done on it .

I must admit to quite liking the idea of the BRX1. No its not a fine hand built rifle. But it’s priced very affordably because its a machine built gun with minimal hand involvement other than assembling parts.

It handles pretty well, but definitely designed for the hunter who shoots off hand in woods / driven type hunting - as in most European hunting. It’s not a heavy barreled long range rifle.

Being ambidextrous is very useful for a left handed shot like myself. Long bolt throw is a non issue to me. I always drop out of shoulder so you have max visibility during the reload and ability to pick the next shot and point and mount the rifle again. And I shoot a shotgun butt down and usually break my mount between shots especially on game.

If I start hunting in Germany again regularly I might well get one and leave it out there.
