Hi
Decided I can't beat In wellies any longer.
I have 12 inch boots and pretty big calves...
Need some tough hard wearing gaiters....
Cheers Zt

I have had a pair of Swazi Aligaiters for a number of years now, despite dogs abuse they have hardly a mark on them and are well worth the money.

Black Islander Gaiters not cheap but very long lasting and waterproof with front zip fastening making them easy to put on and take off. Also come in different sizes making them a comfy fit.

Out of stock in all sizes!

I have these cheap ones. But they seem to work OK.

A pair in black that were given to me when i bought a bicycle in Buxton and a pair in red off eBay for £5.95 plus £3.20 postage.

Another vote for these, been using them for years. I’m 6’2 and the large fit my shin length well. Recommend 👍

I've had a pair of leather equestrian gaiters for ten plus years. Zip up the back, flap with press stud top and bottom to secure. Cheaper than some canvas ones, being leather just don't hole or rip. Worth a look boet.

Following a couple of recommendations on other threads, I went for a pair of the £29.99 Supertrack jobbies by Solognac as sold by Decathlon

So far I’m pretty impressed as they’ve not shown any sign of wear despite some bramble work…. They’re way better than the cheapie John Norris ‘sacks’ 😂 but whether they’d fit your calves…. I dunno. Just laid one flat and measured it at 45cm across the calf.

Years ago I did wear the leather riding gaiters for beating and for stalking as they were quiet…. ‘cept they tended to take on water if it was wet but that was just added a bit of ‘weight training’ and I could probably have sprayed them with a waterproofer 😂

cheers

My Black Islanders failed finally after 5 years of use…………ordered another pair on the 21st December, with me on 23rd - you can’t get better than that!
Ordering is a bit old school as you have to do bank transfer but bare with as the product is second to none. Just need to drop John/Jane Patience an email through the website.

Replaced my long term black islander with ridgeline ones and impressed so far. Quiet when pushing through Heather and other cover. Fit well and adjustable.
