I’ve owned more than a few 22’s that were tack drivers however I rarely shot them further than 50 yards . The first that comes to mind was a Remington 541-S it would shoot aspirin sized five shot groups at 25 yards all day long and almost as good at 50 yards . I had a Winchester Model 61 pump with and old Weaver K-10 on top that was parallax adjustable down to 15 yards I believe , that gun was not manipulated in anyway other than being scrubbed well before shooting paper with it and I got a handful of really tiny five shot 25 yard groups . I had a Remington 541-T HB that was good but you always had to send one before shooting five for score so to speak , it always wanted to throw the first from a cool barrel about a 1/4” on squirrels no issue but on paper it was . Had a CZ452-FS that did very very nice it was good for five shot one hole groups at 25 and 50 yards not as tight as the 541-S but good none the less . Built two Ruger 10/22 rifles after market triggers barrels and stocks with the headspace manipulated and they both shot very very well but the only thing stock on them were the receivers . Almost forgot I had an old Remington 513-T with a Lyman Targetspot 10x on top it shot extremely well but the 541-S would lay with it . Always wanted a Remington 40X or Winchester 52C either in a HB version to shoot paper but never ponyed up the cash to buy one .
