Just come to this thread a bit late. I've an F&F mod and find it great. There was some corrosion in the early days of me owning it but this has stopped. I do clean it every now and then. Actually I was after some advice on mods too - there is a bewildering array of products on the market. The Recknagel SOB3D looks great but is very expensive. The Hauksen mods also look great. I use a 30-06 and soon to have a 7x57 so I'll need a mod for that. I also like the look of the Shultz Larsen mods too. So if anyone has any experience of the above that would be great to know. Would the Recknagel be that much better than a mod costing £350 and would this in turn be that much better than a mod costing £150?

ATEC. They just get a bit warm if you get carried away on the range lol. Very light and work as well as most I've used. Cheap as well.

Why do you need it proofed ?
I've had my FW149 for quite a while now and I have no issues with it whatsoever. In my view, the FW149 is a great moderator!
Buy an 18×1 and a barrel nut . Unless there's no 18×1s proofed , in which case ignore this altogether.Cant get a dpt in 15x1!
Will have to send my rifle off to the proof house with a dpt mod as they have no 15x1 mods proofed
