I think they're great but only just a minute ago read another thread which mentioned they're restrictive when changing layers etc (which is true). I like them because on the hill I find it stops the bin's bouncing around on my chest when walking in and out. It also stops them dangling to the ground sooner than they otherwise might when crouching. I suppose it depends on what type of stalking you do.

I've got a vortex one from Amazon( I think), only cost about £15, it doesn't have the wrap round caes that some have but definitely stops your binos swinging around. You could try Cheshire Lad (Rob) off here, he,s just started doing one.ATB Dom

I have leica binos and they come with a broad stretchy strap that doesn't dig in, I use to use a bino harness but I found it a pain in the arse if you had to lie prone as you can not move the binoculars round to your back out of your way.

Would not be without them. Quick release or push out of way if you lying down. Much more comfortable with zero neck pain

I have a Butler creek harness and have found it much better than the standard Leica strap,They stop your binoculars bouncing about, But like" Cumbrian 1" says they are a bit of a pain when you lie prone.
Atb John.

A not to be without piece of kit along with my self inflation seat for long spells in high seats .

You wont look back they are far better than just a strap i wouldn't be without my harness now

run the slimg a bit longer than normal and sling them over your head with one arm through the sling
they sit on your hip/waist, can be slid up to the eye just as easily, dont bounce around and can be pushed out the way for prone work easily

and it doesnt look like you are wearing a bra!

I bought one but could never get on with it. Like a couple of previous guys who posted, I found it a pain when prone or crawling.

Why not use a leather binocular tab?
707100c.webp

Fastens to a shirt or coat button, easy to undo & keeps the binos from jumping around

Should have said that they only average about £15 as one of the other posters said. Take a look at optics warehouse as they stock about five different makes. You have seen mine spooney.

I use them all the time crawling theough a hedge this morning caused me no trouble if I had been using a normal neck strap it would have been much more difficult.trick is to get them adjusted correctly I always have to tighten them if doing a lot of crawling say on the hill.

S4gear lockdown brilliant but not cheap. I use it with my Zeiss rf 10x50. Worth the investment if you have expensive glass.

+1 Deako...the Badlands case is a Gucci bit of kit, but like the L'Oreal..."they're worth it"

Maybe try eBay??
