I have no experience whatsoever but I’d prefer a spot & stalk hunt.
Alberta does both so you'll probably want to clarify with the outfitter what they do.

Depends what you think is successful, I saw everything except a grizzly, saw lynx wolf moose elk whitetail mule deer, had a bear in the scope and saw bears every day, but I didn't shoot the 6 ft one I was after, found him on 2 separate days but each one was a good hike through forest. On the way down we walked 350 yards just to descend 100 yards, much easier walking up.
