Thanks a lot gentlemen. Really useful information all round. Now I just need to find a boar - or as a colleague commented - "plenty of boars in the golf club bar" - I will look elsewhere.

It will be a bit of spot and stalk, but mostly high seat.

Wanting to hit them there and actually hitting them there I guess is the tricky part!

When posted to Germany I shot quite a few pigs both static and running... All in the shoulder, all with a 180 gr . 308 and all went down.... And didn't get up...
