I've a 300 PRC & 20 heads I need to pull.
What press mounted puller is a good choice please

You can always use a bit of leather or similar (a strip cut off a brass cartridge case, or a bit of plastic/copper water pipe, yoghourt pot, postcard?) between mole grip jaw and bullet which further reduces the chance of bruising the bullet doing it that way.Depends if you want to reuse the bullets and/or how fussy you are.
The hack is to raise the bullet through the press without a die in place, grab bullet with mole grips and lower. One pulled bullet. Not necessarily in such worse condition than if extracted with a collet die
I use the Hornady cam lock puller, but prefer to use it by feel rather than going "over the cam"...so I just adjust it overtight and hold the cam lever down each time. It saves the faff of winding it in and out to find the position to get the cam to lock to grip sufficiently without marking the bullet. Especially for small numbers...maybe worth adjusting to set the lock if you had a hundred to do, but I have never bothered.

Thats my go to at the moment with a rubber lined plierDepends if you want to reuse the bullets and/or how fussy you are.

Cheaper to bin at most 20 bullets than buy a die ?? Personally I use them as foulers
Will a collet puller remove crimped bullets without rendering them un-usable. I always use a kinetic hammer puller.Anyone using a collet die & leaving marks on their bullets isn't using it correctly.
True. The risk is avoided altogether, even when setting up, just using it by feel.Anyone using a collet die & leaving marks on their bullets isn't using it correctly.

You can go off people , you know!Anyone using a collet die & leaving marks on their bullets isn't using it correctly.

I'll be honest , I'm a bit rubbish.
Why didn't I think of that! You can always use a bit of leather or similar (a strip cut off a brass cartridge case, or a bit of plastic/copper water pipe, yoghourt pot, postcard?) between mole grip jaw and bullet which further reduces the chance of bruising the bullet doing it that way.

Depends entirely on your neck tension and crimpAnyone using a collet die & leaving marks on their bullets isn't using it correctly.
Not always possible if you have been load testing, hit pressure earlier than expected and therefore have round rounds that are not safe to shoot higher up the ladderPersonally I use them as foulers
Hard crimps can be bypassed by technique. Repeated blows on the press lever with the flat of the hand, it's a learning curve.Depends entirely on your neck tension and crimp
