Clarkesons Farm on deer stalking

Started watching Clarkson. Not yet at the Deer stalking episode. Almost cried laughing at the porking episode. And fantastic winning the appeal to allow farmshop business to flourish.

It’s a pity though that he can only tackle such issues thanks to Amazon. There is little opportunity for anybody getting into farming unless they are born into it, or have made huge money elsewhere.

That's the great thing about Kaleb,s input. He tells anyone who will listen we need more young people involved.
But as he says they haven't got the money, they've got the love of animals but financially its out of reach.

Unless you have made it as a banker , stockbroker or dentist there are only three ways into farming; patrimony, matrimony and parsimony . It looks to me as if Kaleb will make it one way or the other.

Thank you for the parsimony bit had to look it up 👴. Another learnmg cirve, good job I did, I had thoughts of it being a church official being it Sunday 👍🤣🤣🤣🤣

Thought it was good from Clarkson, but a little weak from the chairman…

Welfare was covered but not man’s responsibility to manage deer due to eradicating all predators.

Spent more time putting his Blaser together. 🙄
It’s been edited to fit into a 40 minute program hardly his fault 🤔

Episode 7 new series 3 of Clarksons why deer need to be culled and getting people eating venison, very good in my opinion.
Albeit a short exposure it done deerstalking / managing a priceless favour, on prime TV - JC has a phenomenal following, it was fairly put across in a nice manner so as not to wake the unbelievers and planted a seed for stalking - and quality food produce - my own thoughts - clarkson championed deerstalking - it needs stuff like this, well done to the BDS on picking it up and running with it 👍. Top job

Agreed I watched it last night. A very well balanced argument of the need to manage deer. Clarkson even highlighted the fact that even with all the very sound reasoning for humanely culling deer if they actually showed one being shot on TV then there would be uproar in the media.

Instead they got the balance correct. The first one he couldn’t get himself stable and was wobbling around on sticks - hardly surprising given it was his first deer and with the film crew along. Then we moved to a high seat with him lining up on a buck, and then we moved to venison sausage hot dogs being served and everyone loving them.

The final episode really highlights the vulnerability of Agriculture, especially now there are no subsidies in place any more.

Yep 100%. just watched that again and it’s probably the best thing ( about time ) I’ve
seen portraying stalking in a good light to everyone, well done to all involved 👍

I didn't see the programme. But I quite Like Jeremy Clarkson. He tells it like it is and many don't like it. But it makes a change from all these people who seem to hide what they really think in case they are vilified for putting their point across.
If it gave a positive look on deer stalking, then it gets a thumbs up from me.
