Deer Best Practice Event

If this event is discussing deer management, ie the idea of looking at populations of different species across a region; the impacts associated with the different species; and the stalkers and landowners all working together across a region towards appropriate numbers of different species, then this should be an event for everyone on SD and every landowner.

All species should be managed strategically - the days of taking one for the pot/freezer are over.

Here, roe are over-hit and fallow and muntjac woefully under-hit. It's rubbish. Stalkers don't talk to each other like adults about deer and neither do the landowners. This looks like a great opportunity to get talking properly.

That't one of the aims ,as we need to encourage more open dialogue between all parties.During the day there is plenty of time set aside for Q & A ,we are looking for audience participation either stimulated by the guest speakers (yet to be confirmed) or other issues/concerns the delegates may have. It should provide an ideal opportunity for all those attending.
