DMC Level 3

He’s taking advantage of an opportunity that has been afforded him.

I believe it shouldn’t be afforded him.

I’m sure he is an alright guy, but he’s decided that stalking is where he will make his million, regardless of the rod he makes for many backs.
You might need to show some one where on the dolly he touched you 😂😂😂

Here's just 1 for you.

So how many of the chairborne Forum critics have got the balls to promulgate their cock ups/ he who casts the first stone comes to mind..challenge any critics to post videos of their mistakes over however many years for education purposes! As an AW/PDS1/2 Assessor/Verifier ..I test the man/womans ability whether they have 1 year or 25 yrs experience based on what I see and what they do or do not do..that is what they expect me to do and that is what is important we owe it to the deer to be competent at all levels and the system may force compulsory training on us...so collect badges if you wish and can afford it but it all comes down to the moment that you pull the trigger on a live animal......that is the real test and we can all have a bad day!

I don't video any of my outings.
I concentrate more on dealing with the situation in front of me.

Have I made mistakes. Yes I have.

Would I make the mistake of trying to shoot at 2 different animals and missing them, without thinking of checking zero. No I wouldnt.

There is no British Standard Cock up...better to miss than to wound but yes that had crossed my mind....obviously strong cross winds could have been a factor...who knows..and I can remember a couple of mistakes over 27 yrs......but I learnt from them...

I was getting my hair cut yesterday from the woman now 38 who has done it since she started out.
Her husband is now doing the local Jagdschein course he has no previous knowledge of firearms so a real newby, On their website I took a look and here is the course content (translated). It is two evenings per week plus a Saturday each week ca. six months long He had to help out as a group in building a high seat from wooden poles too.

That video wasn’t just mistakes - it was out of his capabilities and almost luck on the last shot. The second shot was especially bad - he was flustered, hadn’t prepared and just should not have taken the shot - one of the things people need to learn is restraint and that you don’t get to pull the trigger every time - he could have deer running about wounded all over the place with his approach.

They need to make DSC1 worth the hassle of showing up to the test before they try to add more levels - the level 1 is an absolute joke of a course and doesn’t prepare anyone for anything worth doing.

Proposing a level 3 is absolutely ludicrous - there are plenty of totally inept people wandering round with level 2 so it doesn’t produce good stalkers

Not the same people.

No, in this case they really are not.

I couldn't disagree more strongly.
I think the DSC1 is an excellent course, (although I'm disappointed that the large game meat hygiene qualification was removed from it).

I don't think that DMQ (the body that oversees DSC1 & 2) are proposing a level 3, are they? Where do you get that idea from?
