Dog transport,

Interested to see people’s ideas on dog transport when removing the back seats from pickup and fitting dog boxes/area, so that the dogs are not in the same area as shot deer.
Any photos ideas or feedback would be great, trying to find cleanest and easiest solution for me and the dogs.
regards
Ryan

Look at FC pick ups for sale. They show decent pictures. There's not a lot of room in there for dogs after the gun box etc is fitted.

SWMBO won't let me take the back seats out so I just use a seatbelt harness - it's a fag so I am thinking of building a plywood dog box, maybe raised up so a rifle slip can slide under it...still in the concept phase - the main problem is making a box that is large enough for a GWP or two but can still be easily lifted through the space left by the doorway.

Just remove the seats, use 20mm ply and board out the bottom. Secure the dog box with a ratchet strap and screw down 1 inch batons around the bottom of the box to stop any sliding about. Transk9 dog box is the best for this. when putting the box in, you may have to pull front seats forward and unscrew the door retaining bar that stops any damage if the wind blows (its one little bolt and gives you a few more inches wiggle room getting it in!).
