Shooting 1000 yards with a .50 BMG is like shooting a .308 at 100, once dialled in it’s boringly accurate.

It wasn’t meant as a literal statement of truth. But the analogy bears merit given the shear difference between the two chamberings. As for who told me that, nobody did. My zero for .50 BMG is 1000 yards. I’ve never shot it under that range.
