Email notifications .How to turn off ?

Evening all .
Im new to the forum but understand a bit of how things work .I don’t need the constant email notifications so I’ve tried to untick the relevant boxes but still I’m getting emails to say someone’s commented on this or that .How do I disable that feature please but still retain the notifications top of page .Hope this makes sense

You asked for the email notifications when you 'Watched' the threads so it's no disrespect to me at all!
