Clearly he doesn't want to be here any more as the situation doesn't suit him. Actions speak louder than words of course but he won't be moving. As far as being insulting is concerned, he brings that on himself by his self-centred whinging and if there was ever a golden badge for that particular category then give it to him ... because he deserves it.

As long as you are not a Limburg cheese on baguette washed down with a bottle of Stella type then I will accept your single minded exit opinion.
Back to a pint of mild and some Walkers crisps with a blue salt bag then eh?

Yes, Walkers never featured the blue bag. Did anyone else try and make salt & vinegar by adding a splash of malt vinegar too, only to shake the bag and end up with a soggy mess? Or was that just me?

Yes, I tried it. 🤮
I was quite small at the time.
I have never used vinegar as a condiment since!

Not for me buddy ... I don't drink but whatever suits you is good as far as I'm concerned.

Jamsie,

it is people with your views that have really ruined this country. Your language is insulting. No i wasnt born in the UK. My parents chose to come back to the UK at the end of empire.

unfortunately I only have a British passport. The land of my birth will not let me have a passport as I have the wrong colour skin.

Until the beggining of this year with my British passport I can travel, live , work

Trade with anywhere from the North East corner of Finland down to the bottom of Greece and all the way across to the bottom corner of Spain.

And ignorrant idiots have thrown this all the way with promise of freedom by idiots like Borris.

I am Not whinging, I really hope you get what you have voted for - I have seen how corrupt Nationalist governments really are.

And yes I am cross, as I am seeing directly the damage this is doing to all our lives, and am able to see the consequences of the actions.

I am fortunate in having many European friends and friends around the world. None of them recognise the UK any longer, nor the Rhetoric that is coming out of the mouths of people like you.
You ARE whinging but you are just too stupid to see it.
I'm glad your friends don't recognise the UK any more because with friends like your yours we don't need any enemies.
Incidentally, it was people with views like mine that built this country. The fact that it doesn't suit you indicates that they did a pretty good job.

Leave whenever you are ready and don't bother sending any postcards.

Don’t worry - have already left England - have lived in Scotland fir the last 20 odd years.

And you are correct - you have made your own bed.

thats true, every Empire needs cannon fodder

There are bigger things at stake than your hunting trips.
Get a grip man for goodness sake!

I was just thinking the same. What a bunch of whining, winging neigh sayers. Get over it. As above - put a bit of perspective on it. Moaning about the hardship of travelling abroad to go on a shooting trip. Juvenile.

UK citizens will not have access to the EU Firearms Pass after 01 Jan 2021.
Reading these post, it seams some SD members already have relationships with shooting venues in Europe, your hosts will still be keen to see you, and more importantly earn your fees.
May I suggest that, those with good relationship, contact their hosts and ask them "what do we need to do to continue our business with you? What paperwork do we need for your country?"

Sharing the replies on here mint prove helpful to all.

After all, we have started from a level playing field, so some Countries may choose to helpful to facilitate continued trade.

No problem at all. We use the EU firearms passport and I apply for a Visitors Firearms Certificate with the scottish Police, send them my passport and application with a sponsor endorsement, pay the fee, and declare the firearm to custom upon arrival. It's a very straightforward and painless bureaucracy. I'm under the impression that it is mostly to ensure I have a legal purpose for bringing the firearm and a safe way to store it when in-country.
Which is exactly what we should be able to do once we've left the EU.

I'm perfectly happy to lie in the bed that I have made without whinging about it. Unlike you obviously.

Guys instead of getting all aggressive and irrespective of your own personal views and how you voted, all this negative pro and anti EU nonsense isn't helping anyone.
How about doing something positive instead, and when it becomes available gathering information as to how it will work in the future when travelling in Europe. There has been some tremendous information based on personal experience passed on by site members to others in the past, but most of it has come in dribs and drabs and not assembled into a definitive list or data base.

Seems like a very good idea.

Well I am just eternally grateful to Mutti Merkel who said last night "we understand how the United Kingdom might want limited independence"! Sorry but what bit about voting for independence as a sovereign state doesn't she understand?

David.

We've left. That's it. So we need to now know how to work without the EU Firearms pass. I voted to "Leave" but in fact would have preferred we'd remained. But given the idiot Cameron's deal had no choice as his deal was that if the UK voted to remain that the right under EU Law to bring my wife from outside the EU would have been extinguished. And if we voted to leave that his deal would be voided and that right would continue. In fact we'd already long before done that but I certainly wasn't going to deny that to others.

I've never been of the "I'm alright Jack...Pull the ladder up" brotherhood. We've left but it won't be long before British fishermen are thrown under the bus to protect the trading rights of Rees-Mogg's city financier cronies. If push comes to shove and it's the choice between fishing and finance don't think Johnson won't sell out fishing in order to advance the interest of finance. Wait and see. And the reptilian Gove will tell us to "Look at the bigger picture...blah, blah, blah."

Regardless of people's on SD reasons in fact it was never in fact about anything other than Johnson's personal ambition and Cameron's inability to discipline his MPs. The idea that it was about democracy is a nonsense. Frank Field, Gisela Stewart, Kate Hooey and Clare Fox who all campaigned that the EU was "undemocratic and unaccountable" were all too happy to ignore it when they all accepted peerages this Summer. It makes great campaign slogan on the side of a big red bus...but it didn't stand in the way of them getting their snouts in the trough of £330 a day attendance allowance in the unelected Lord's.

Could quite agree except for the Kate Hooey bit. She supported field sports on every occasion despite her political masters. I disagree with the way the Lord's in run but I can't change anything, so yes give her the accolade.

I haven’t read all through this but surely it will be like before, or going to any other country outside Eu, even in the Eu you still had to get a permit to hunt legally in your chosen country you wish to hunt or your breaking the law. So in my opinion it’s not really changing, I have never been asked to see my efp but even when showing it they still wanted my firearms cert. by righty the efp didn’t work as intended people from the Eu still had to have a permit here and Vice versa so in fact it didn’t do anything other than Pad out a folder
there’s always the doom and gloom merchants and chicken lickins, regards Wayne
