Excessively loud report with my 204: Potential cause

Re 39 BK appear to be out of stock in UK and none on Sierra web site. I could either let a .204 owner on here have 5 to reload and shoot (suggest take off moderator) or if some kind person could send me 5 out of an old style box or some very recently purchased ones that they shoot I could try. I have 2 boxs batch nos 012054600/1 the 600 not started 01 about 1/2 used/ Purchased 03/19.

Hoping to go up to see Neil next week and have barrel scoped and then decide on course of action, prepared for a rebarrel.

Why?? Bit premature. Read what Palo said. I think that there is not a lot wrong with your barrel...... Other than (assuming factory)... twist rate, way too much freebore/neck clearance etc etc....!!

I am running low on the 39BK,
No dealer in the UK, that I have contacted, knows when they will be back, I have emailed Sierra a couple of times and not getting any response.

Anyone know whats going on?
Thanks

...and I found this 2018 apology on the Sierra Bullets website:

Is the implication here that folk might have loaded the incorrectly-packed .224 bullets into .204 cases? Would such a cartridge chamber and fire in a .20cal, and if so it this the reason for the bullet failure (too high a pressure, jacket damaged by excess bore-squeeze etc)?
