Extraction with an e-bike - anyone tried it?

Would it be any better with an e-bike though? You clearly are much better informed than me but if the OP thinks he can get an e-bike down there wouldn’t a pedal bike perform in a similar manner but just take a bit more peddling? Soon find out anyway and could easily borrow one and see what happens. Probably easier than reply to 5 pages of suggestions from people like me!

Yep, exactly right - eBike has no "e" unless you're pedalling so you could get a general feel for things with a normal mtb. It'll be a bit more effort, but a lot cheaper to try than hiring

I can see how that would work well. What bike are you using, and is it any good on soft ground?

Here is what I'm using at my Michigan woodland hunting location:

Hmmm, I'm going to revise my view slightly!! I ran a trail for the hounds yesterday and a chap was following on an e-bike (mountain bike). Looked standard spec and normal mtb tyres etc. He was riding across some very wet grass fields on ground that I know I'd not have got through on a normal mtb without a lot of care and effort. He wasn't dragging anything behind him mind you, but it may be more realistic than I originally thought. I think the only way you'll know is to actually hire one and try it. Having seen him ride, I don't think using a normal mtb would give you an idea of what was possible.

Hope the aches are susceptible to appropriate doses of warm baths and whisky!
No need for sympathy, I'm just doing that all-too-human thing of looking for lazy/fun ways of avoiding hard work by throwing only just enough money at the problem.
As noted previously, these carcases are mostly for the butcher, and he wants the ones that are in one piece.
