Face masks after monday - Your thoughts?

No, there is a specific exemption for hauliers, providing they follow the rules:

Interesting, as the UK has not a joined up system for parking international trucks for rest breaks. It will not happen in reality and the enforcement of if the previous of what I have experienced of the average UK council worker jobsworth mentality????
Rant over, I have a house in Dover that I just cannot use now but still have to pay the full coin in council tax etc for.

My view. If you need to be wearing a face mask etc. the risk of disease etc is still way too high.

I think face masks are being used as a political tool to make up for long term fundamental failings in public health, as well as transport and building design.

Best protection against infective respiratory disease is fresh air and lots of it. All our transport, buildings - especially large shops, hotels, hospitals offices etc use recirculating air conditioning which is a very effective way of transmitting bugs.

Cramming people back into trains, buses, offices but saying it will be ok cos you are wearing a mask is just irresponsible.
+1. Excellent comment.

I think that a government should regulate and restrict our lives as little as possible.

The wearing of face masks - to protect oneself and more importantly others is, from tomorrow something we have to decide on personally. Except where the owners of premises you wish to frequent stipulate otherwise. There, the choice becomes one of going into those premises or not if you won't comply. It's their gaff after all.

However, the wearing of face masks is a teensy bit less onerous than being stretched on a rack. Not that you'd think so according to some.

Having your guns confiscated and driver license revoked is less onerous than being stretched on a rack

Just been to morrisons sans face nappy. Nobody said a word or even gave me dirty look that I noticed. Which tells me they will mostly follow suit once they pluck up the courage.

Just me and about three other true believers....excelsior!

Just left Lidl and none of the staff had masks on. When I asked the checkout guy if I had to keep wearing mine he replied "oh yes and for some time from now on".

Im gonna keep wearing mine when in shops and other not so well ventilated areas, its no big inconvenience and I have no problem with it, also found it stops ex birds and knob heads I cant stand coming up and chatting **** to me 👍 also the guy in our local petrol station has proper **** breath.... since March last year filling my van up with diesel has been quite a revelation.
