and yet home office guidance and NPCC both say that experience is neither calibre nor quarry dependant, ie if ok to decide if safe to shoot with one calibre at a quarry then safe with all at all.

I just found my last FAC I had in UK issued in 2006.
They had taken deer off the 458, I don`t know why, but wasn`t a problem.
The wording was simple enough.
I had open tickets as long as I can remember.
It seems a lot more complicated there nowadays.
Also, I helped a mate get his 338 on open ticket for the boar.

Big list they could have easily just put .22RF, 22-250, 30-60 may be used to shoot any legal quary
