First Impressions and first rifle

Hello all, chuffed to be part of the community. Have been out stalking for a couple of seasons now. Mainly Fallow and Roe in Highland Perthshire. Passed my DSC 1 in February and planning on sitting the DSC 2 later in the year. I have just been granted my FAC with slots for .308, .22 and 12ga.

My local gun shop has run me through a few options for my .308 and I really like the Winchester Model 70 Extreme Weather in stainless steel. Does anyone have any second opinions on it or experience?

I've owned an Extreme Weather in .30-06 for 5 years. It's always been reliable and accurate. I don't think you'll regret buying one.
