Flights to Namibia

Just got back and it was a breeze. Used SAA from Heathrow and booked case ( sods smashed it though) rifle and ammo direct through to Windhoek. I would recommend not putting ammo in hold case though as I was told they could call you in SA to open it. All arrived in Windhoek and the check in was easy. 1 form to fill in which I took with me, a quick check of the serial numbers and hey presto rifle on the way to the car. Alot easier and quicker than in SA. You need to fill an immigration form in on arrival.
On departure same again no problem, quick check of serial numbers and all arrives back in Heathrow.
I've now sorted out concessions over there so will be offering hunts from later this year.

Cheers
Adrian

Thanks Adrian, I have only just noticed your reply so appologies for not responding earlier. That is deffinatly the way we will be going. How was the hunting? what did you hunt.? I think the prices are more competative than S.A.

Yes the hunting was fantastic. I will put some photos up soon but got 2 Hartmann Zebra, Oryx, Warthogs, Klipspringer and a Damara Dik Dik. Beside the Dik Dik everything is more competitive than in SA but there are a few differences in Namibia. You can only hunt 2 trophies of any one species and no part of any cull animals can be exported. They are very strict with the permit system and the police are on the ball. Got stopped twice at road blocks but as soon as they realised I was english they just waved me on as had no idea what to make of it. Had 2 days in Etosha National Park which is worth doing.
I now have a deal with 2 outfitters so will be offering hunts over there once I have worked some packages out.
you will enjoy it mate.
