.243 getting old. Just looking at what people recommend.Upfrom a 243 FOR fox?? Big foxes your way eh??
How far will you be shooting? Perhaps a sleek boat tail 70 grns or 87grn and work out the drift by doing the shooting..243 getting old. Just looking at what people recommend.
Just not sure your force would do variation on bigger calibre than 243 if your specifying for fox..243 getting old. Just looking at what people recommend.
Not matter what caliber u get you’ll still miss em allLooking to change from .243 for a foxing rifle. Open hill ground so needs to handle a bit of wind. Just wondering what everyone is using or recommends? Calibre and Make/Model. Cheers.

Dont mean bigger, just a new calibre and wanted to see what people were using. Might stick with the .243 in end and upgrade but was just interested in what people were using.Just not sure your force would do variation on bigger calibre than 243 if your specifying for fox.

Always used .243 never had a problem for foxes. 58 grain norma or hornady. Started getting foxes hit straight though chest, running maybe 50 to 100 yard, which id never had before. Changed to 75 grain, same problem. So just looking to what people are using. As it happens i just bought another 243 after 3 or 4 years maybe more i wasn't counting
without one in the safe . Its just a very handy calibre! Tikka T3X stainless . Without doubt the best fox caliber imho and i have also done some big stags . I am loading 80 grain and 70 grain Ttsx copper for England on Muntjac , CWD but in Scotland its going to be doing stags , God do those slim long bullets look sexy - yeah ! I know that's an bit odd but it is what it is ! Some like Silly sportscars but i just love a good bullet LOL !
Dont get me wrong when i am in a place its legal i am up for some stags
