Freezer to fridge

On one of my trips I called in to look what the member on here thought was a monoblock fridge unit, it turned out to be a freezer, I did some wiring on it to get it to work properly.
When I was home I sent him a Danfoss thermostat a basic mechanical one with wiring instructions.
I'm happy to say it now works like a fridge should.

Hi Sikadog, I have a Gram freezer that i would like to convert to a deer chiller,is there a particular thermostat that you could suggest would be suitable for the task?
many thanks,jim

Here’s a Photo (link) of controller, as requested. Please say if you cannot open. Thanks

Thanks for that, it's a typical Gram controller, yes it's possible to convert it to a fridge but quite complicated.
Where in Shropshire are you as you are not a long way from me they could be a deal to be done and I will come and do it for you.

Hello mate, do you think that this can be converted to a chiller?

Any stand alone freezer can be converted to a fridge, you just have to confuse it to think its a fridge.
The power wire from the original controller to the compressor has to be interupted by a fridge controller to make it think it isn't a freezer. The easiest controller to use is a mechanical controller, the one I use is a Danfoss UT72.
