Perhaps I should put a request in under freedom of information and ask "just how long through the working day do BASC employees spend lurking in forums waiting for any one to moan or disagree with them only to attack declaring they have inside knowledge".

I agree with tFI ... as usual so much anti BASC nonsense it is wearisome ...

I have been with BASC for 30 years, have hardly ever needed them, fortunately, but sleep easy knowing they are there if I do, and happy that they are working on my behalf on the bigger picture.

Scuba dog you have been offered some good advice some of which you haven't even acknowledged yet you've not hesitated to rip into Tfl at the slightest opportunity.


I don't see what Tfl has done that is SO wrong, no personal information divulged - but you might also want to bear in mind that Dorset Police probably read these forums - I know Devon & Cornwall Police do, and your attitude might not do you any favours at all with your current Firearms grant. If you think about it, it wouldn't take a rocket scientist for Dorset to ascertain who you are with the circumstances you have described.


Such a shame there are some people on these forums just looking for an opportunity to let rip into other people. Even more of a shame that there are so many people who just sit back and watch it go off - its like a load of kids in a school playground watching a bully kick some other kids head in. Very sad.


I am a BASC member, and I have sought their advice before and found the service to be first class and very professional. Who cares if a member of their staff goes on the stalking directory in his own time - at least it shows he has a genuine interest.

if you put it like that then it looks like an equal 'fight' to me. No point wading in if two people can sort it out amongst themselves. I get more irritated by the endless speculation some questions attract and actually prefer it when those with the answer come in and help cut to the chase.
