Hi all and hello from Norwich. I’ve been shooting for almost fifty years, mainly vermin, game, clays, pistols when they were legal, and I have done a very limited amount of stalking to help a friend a few years ago. I have been reloading since the pistol days of the 80’s and currently my main shooting activity is foxing. I used a 22.250 for over twenty years but moved to a Hornet 17 back in 2018, partly due to a change to thermal sights and finding Charlie comes in much closer with no lights in his eyes, plus the desire to be able to double-up and shoot rabbits while I was out without having to carry two rifles. I was drawn to this site from various google searches looking for blogs on reloading data, especially for the Hornet. I have found some great forums on here and I am hoping I can learn a bit more from the learned brethren on my current plight with a powder change. (was using CFE BLK for the Hornet and it’s been great but now its not compliant I had to change to DO63 and struggling). Thanks in anticipation of the help I’m sure I will get and I hope to be able to return the favours if I ever can.
