Yesterday I was doing some chainsawing at the shoot and four Ravens flew over. I thought this will not be topped, but driving back I saw a Merlin. Lovely to see.
Ravens are fine until you start seeing them 40 or 50 at a time, and then they're murdering bastards.
(And will rip up any deer you shoot in the time it takes you to fetch your quadbike for extraction).
Ravens have become a real problem here, increasing numbers have led to increasing attacks on ewes and lambs.
A Merlin was spotted here last year on the cliffs, amazing fliers!
