hedgehog

We have a family regular in our garden.
They even walk up our road. Only 7 houses and dead end. They go to all the gardens in turn for various meals.

We haven't seen so many hedgehogs in the last two years. Maybe something to do with a certain Mustelid being dealt with.

No doubt hedgehogs do serious damage to ground nesting birds but not half as much as black and white Mustelid.
We have more bees in the past 2 summers.

Politicians normally talk complete nonsense, but this discussion about hedgehogs is worth a listen. Rory Stewart got to know his constituency by walking around it, its a shame he gave up.

Rory Stewart was lucky to jump before he got deselected as our mp over his comments about Brexit .
Good at taking but not at the listening part .

Just yesterday, I saw a squashed one for the first time in many years. I've seen a few in the garden and do encourage them as I like the slugs to be eaten up.

I saw a couple a few months back, with my Thermal.
Had not seen a Hedgehog for 10 years up until that point.
