Help please with powder selection for 1917 Swede 6.5x55?

I reload for a 1917 Swedish Mauser currently using Ramshot Hunter at 40 grains, results show that either low loads or possibly new cases required, afraid I do not have a chrono which would be a big help.
I have been able to obtain data from an early reloading manual which give a large amount of suitable powders and weights to be used (unable to obtain any data from Ramshot manual, only give data for modern 6.5x55)
Can any one more experienced give a powder listed from the old manual which has a comparable burn rate to Ramshot Hunter.
Ramshot Hunter is fairly obtainable in my area, but I would like to obtain a 'back up' powder as well.
Not sure if all of the following powders are still in production and obtainable in the UK, but here they are:
VIT N560
VIT N165
VIT N160
VIT N550
VIT N150

Thanks for any help which is given.

I’m presuming your 6.5x55 Swede is a military M96 rifle ?

RELOADER 22.

A friend who shoots them in competition uses the above powder and wins !

If it's got a long barrel (the original 29"?) then the slower Vit powders will do it. You don't say what weight bullet you're using which isn't helpfull.
Vihtavouri load tables show loads for a selection of 140gr bullets using N160 or N165 through a 26.5" barrel.

I’ve found best velocity per grain was n555
New powder very stable work up in an old gun but Vhit as starting loads.
I have tested n160 n165 n150 and n555

Yes, apologies, trying 139gr PPU, 136gr Scenar and 140gr Hornady match

I did recently a Carl Gustav 6.5x55 rifle dated 1913 with a 29" barrel, open sights of course. He informed me that this rifle at the lowest setting with the sight was designed to shoot 6" high at 100 yds as it was for long range . He was shooting the 140 gr Sierra Matchkings and N160
