Help with laces please.

Hello Folks.
I have been wearing my size 11 Altberg defenders for about 4 months now.
One lace snapped about a month ago and I intended to measure the un-snapped one and get some ordered.
However, on putting the boots on this morning I discovered the other lace had snapped yesterday and a piece of it lost somewhere.
Looked on Altbergs website and typed laces in the search box only to be told "no results found".
So rather than reverting back to my Haix which are heavier I would like to know what length laces to order(from a different company)
Anyone know please?

100mm per loop? plus 750mm to tie?

My Meindle Dovre come with 2200mm laces...they have 10 pairs of loops...I would probably manage with 2000mm as I always have to do a double knot to keep the ends up off the ground,

Makes a lot of sense if selected carefully in regard to a;- the correct diameter and b;- quality of manufacture. This also permits some interesting colour options.

Just 4 months? Spaghetti would last near as long! Not much of an advert for their stuff.

Still got a pair of timberland laces retrieved out of a pair of boots long since retired with the soles worn smooth, I use them now for lanyards, still going very strong.

As EMcC said - 550 cord/paracord. You can 'gut' it if it's too thick with the inner strands.

I made the same mistake...and like to think that it is just because I like to think positive rather than negative thoughts about my fellow man...







On the other hand it could just be presbyopia!

Thank you Davyg. I will get on and order some.
They do have a bit of rep for chafing through the laces having fairly abrasive loops.
These boots were issued to Mod last june and sold to me on the bay in january for £29.95 posted. They were mint and I have slathered lots of Altbergs gunk all over them. I also purchased Haix which are less aggressive on the laces.
They are a bit heavy though, so I am saving them for the winter months.
