I will correct you there the correct answer is actually too many!

If you look at the bigger picture, what is the bigger problem? Human beings expanding into Deers territories or deer themselves?

In my personal opinion, humans are the problem not the deer, we as stalkers have to clear the way to make room for human population expansion

However... until humans can be hunted legally we will have reconcile ourselves with shooting the deer

there are no deer in chicago or new york city so the first option is and has been going for years.

Malform is maybe a little bit harsh Tim ...I said ugly ... but you would not want my ugly mug looking at you from a plaque above the fireplace

One of my favourites, its one of the unique sets. The old dog and self combined to take this rough one out. The deer took a 9.3 x 64 B in the left shoulder square on and still got circa 200 yards iirc. Old dog had a fair pluck as can be seen.

Are you not allowed to shoot on/across tracks, footpaths, lanes, etc, over there, or would it be your call not to?

No shooting on or over any gazetted rds/lanes/tracks here. Even wild bush tracks but there are occasions that i have heard of it being done. I have rolled plenty from farm tracks.

I am limited to personal consumption but once I've done my large game meat hygiene I'm hoping to be able to really ramp that up.

I'm fortunate that my work can be very flexible. More often than not, I can get a morning's stalk in before I nip off to go fix some stuff.

A few roe does plus hopefully half a dozen more fallow does by year end will round off a good year Surprised by the in balance in muntjac - I will always take the female where possible

So 2025 a "wrap" - not too bad a year stalking wise Roll on retirement

Actually 4: One provides only reds, 2 stalked together mostly fallow, a few roe and half the muntjac, and the last my DDM ground which is roe and muntjac. The 123 stalks equates to about 90 stalking days - the most I can currently manage.
